This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north and central Georgia.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight...

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected,
especially this afternoon and evening. A few storms could become
strong to severe. The primary risk will be strong to locally
damaging wind gusts and frequent lightning.

A Flood Watch has been issued for north Georgia as locally heavy
rainfall can also be expected, which will lead to increased
chances for flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday...

A Flood Watch has been issued through Monday evening for
increased flash flooding concerns. Scattered to numerous
thunderstorms are expected Monday through Saturday, especially
during the afternoon and evening hours, which will bring the risk
for locally heavy rainfall and frequent lightning. A few storms
could become severe.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southeastern
Meriwether, southern Pike, northwestern Upson and southwestern Lamar
Counties through 330 PM EDT...

At 256 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over Crest, or near
Thomaston, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind, up to penny sized hail and frequent
         cloud to ground lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Thomaston, Molena, Meansville, Sunset Village, Concord, Atwater,
Hilltop, Lifsey Springs, Sprewell Bluff State Park, Crest, Sunnyside,
Hannahs Mill, and Piedmont.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
