Isolated thunderstorms will continue to affect portions of the Carolina Piedmont this morning. The main threat from these storms will be from occasional cloud-to-ground lightning and locally heavy rainfall. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected to redevelop across the area this afternoon and evening, mainly in areas north of I-85. Additional storms may move into the area from east Tennessee and north Georgia after midnight. In addition to lightning and locally heavy rainfall, a few isolated storms will be possible this afternoon through tonight, with locally damaging wind gusts and large hail being the primary threats. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
