This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North and Central Georgia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight...

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through tonight. Additional
heavy rainfall is ongoing across portions of central Georgia that
should come to an end later this morning. Flash flooding will
remain possible. Flooding of creeks, streams, and rivers is
ongoing in some locations and will continue to expand this
afternoon. Please remember to avoid flooded roadways. Turn
around, don't drown.

A Slight Risk is in effect this morning for portions of central
Georgia. An isolated strong wind gust or a brief tornado is
possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday...

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of northwestern Toombs,
east central Telfair, eastern Wheeler and Montgomery Counties through
615 AM EST...

At 539 AM EST, a line of strong thunderstorms was along a line
extending from near Kibbee to near Jordan to near Towns, and moving
east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, frequent cloud to ground lightning and
         heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
         street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Lyons, Mount Vernon, Vidalia, Glenwood, Uvalda, Ailey, Higgston,
Alston, Towns, Center, Spring Hill, Kibbee, Jordan, Charlotteville,
and Normantown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Motorists
should slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.
