...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN DELAWARE...
SOUTHEASTERN SUSQUEHANNA...NORTHEASTERN LACKAWANNA AND NORTHERN WAYNE
COUNTIES THROUGH 230 PM EDT...

At 205 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Pleasant Mount, or 12 miles north of Carbondale, moving northeast at
35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Forest City, Hancock, Vandling, Union Dale, Starrucca, Hiawatha,
Shehawken, Starlight, Pleasant Mount, and Stalker.

This includes the following highway exits...
 Interstate 86/Route 17 near 87.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
central New York...and northeastern Pennsylvania.
