...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Comanche,
southwestern Caddo, northeastern Kiowa and east central Tillman
Counties through 645 PM CDT...
At 611 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 4 miles south of Mountain View to near Fort
Sill to near Chattanooga. Movement was east northeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Lawton, Cache, Carnegie, Geronimo, Mountain View, Chattanooga,
Medicine Park, Indiahoma, Gotebo, Faxon, Meers, Lake Lawtonka, Boone,
Fort Sill, southwestern Lake Ellsworth, Wichita Mountains Wildlife
Refuge, Mount Scott, Doris Campground and The Visitor Center.
This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 28 and 52.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
