MVFR CIGS expected at CHA tomorrow morning through end of period.
TYS and TRI should stay VFR due to downsloping winds off the
Appalachian mountains.

Carolina...east Tennessee and southwest Virginia.

Windy conditions are expected area-wide today with wind gusts
between 30 to 40 mph, especially across the Cumberland Plateau. A
Wind Advisory has been issued for the higher elevations of the
mountains where wind gusts over 40 mph are expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

High winds will be likely across the mountains and foothills
Thursday and Thursday evening. A High Wind Watch is in effect for
the mountains and foothills on Thursday. Windy conditions are
expected area-wide ahead of a cold front Thursday evening. In
addition, there is a low chance of strong to severe thunderstorms
Thursday evening capable of damaging winds and heavy rain rates as
the cold front moves east across the region.
