...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM CDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...Northeast winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph 
  expected.

* WHERE...Guadalupe and Delaware Mountains in Texas.

* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 2 AM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. 
  Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be 
  difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.

Tonight through Sunday night, an upper level low will be moving
across Baja Mexico and into Arizona, with strong moisture
advection ahead of the low and isentropic lift bringing scattered
to numerous showers and storms into the region tonight through
Sunday morning. Continued high amounts of moisture, a cold front
moving down through the forecast area, and a short-wave trough
coming out in the southwest flow aloft, will result in widespread
moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms across the forecast
area Sunday afternoon through late Sunday night. Widespread
rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches will be possible, much of which
could fall in a short amount of time, leading to an increased risk
of flooding. A Flood Watch goes into effect at 7 am
Sunday and goes through 7 am Monday for most of the Forecast area.

With all the cloud cover and rainfall coming in tomorrow, expect
cooler highs in the 60s in the northern counties, 70s in the

Post-frontal cold air advection will result in much cooler
conditions Monday, with highs in the 50s for much of the forecast
area (60s in the Big Bend region) and lows Monday night mainly in
the 40s. Shower/Storm chances will gradually decrease from north
to south through Monday evening as drier air moves in and the
aforementioned low weakens into an open wave.

Tuesday through Friday, expect primarily dry weather with a
gradual warm-up as upper ridging builds into West Texas. Expect
highs reaching mainly in the 60s Tuesday, upper 60s to low 70s
Wednesday, mid to upper 70s Thursday, and upper 70s to low 80s

All terminals are currently VFR and lingering SHRA across the
region. Conditions will fall to MVFR and IFR at all sites and
continue through the end of the TAF period. Expect SHRA and TSRA
will expand through the morning and afternoon, with frequent
lightning and some strong wind gusts. The winds will remain
generally southeast this morning, with a cold front set to switch
winds out of the north in the afternoon and becoming gusty at most
sites.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southeast New Mexico,
southwest Texas and western Texas.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

There is a chance of thunderstorms today over the Guadalupe Mountains
with storms becoming likely tonight across Southeast New Mexico and
the Northern Permian Basin. Some of these storms could become strong
to severe with damaging wind the main concern, but a few storms with
large hail will also be possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected Sunday and Sunday
night with the potential for flash flooding. A Flood Watch is in
effect for most of the area Sunday and Sunday night. In addition a
High Wind Watch is in effect Sunday night for Guadalupe Pass.

and central Gaines Counties through 1015 PM CDT...

At 924 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Gaines County Airport, or near Seminole, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Seminole, Gaines County Airport, Frankel City, Gaines County Park,
Fairview, Florey, Paynes Corner and McKenzie Lake.

At 941 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles southeast of Gaines County Airport, or 9 miles southeast of
Seminole, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.
