At 220 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Roscoe, moving
northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to 
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Roscoe and The Intersection Of Ranch Road 608 And Highway 147.

moving east at 10 mph. 

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

Showers and thunderstorms are developing across the Big Country
early this afternoon, in advance of a weak cold front and some lift
ahead of an upper low/trough over the Four Corners region. This
system will advance east across New Mexico tonight and into West
Texas by tomorrow afternoon. As an embedded disturbance approaches
from the west, lift will increase through the evening hours, with
convection increasing in areal coverage. A moderately unstable
airmass is in place this afternoon, along with steep lapse rates
and enough shear for a few severe storms to develop into the
evening hours. The best chance for severe storms will generally be
west of a Stamford, San Angelo to Sonora line, where large hail
and damaging winds will be the main hazards. Convection is
expected to overspread the rest of the area overnight, with the
severe threat decreasing. In addition to severe storms, heavy
rainfall and localized flooding will be a concern through tonight,
just about anywhere across the forecast area as PWATS remain
between 1.5 and 2 inches.

For Friday, with additional upper level support, a stalled frontal
boundary over the area and a moist airmass in place, additional
showers and thunderstorms are expected. The main concern tomorrow
will be heavy rainfall and localized flooding. Temperatures will
cooler tomorrow, with highs in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.

(Friday through Wednesday)

A closed low will develop within the aforementioned upper trough
and will be centered over the Arizona/New Mexico border early
Friday morning. The low will move east-northeast into northeastern
New Mexico by Friday evening, and then lift northeast to the
border of southeastern Colorado and southwestern Kansas by 7 AM
Saturday. Will have periodic disturbances rotating around the
southeastern periphery of this low and across our area. A stalled
frontal boundary is likely to be in our vicinity, along with
outflow boundaries from prior convection. With this setup and a
moist airmass remaining, showers will be numerous at times with
scattered thunderstorms Friday and Friday night. With precipitable
water values of 1.4 to 1.75 inches expected across much of our
area, locally heavy rain will be possible. Temperatures will be
cooler with considerable cloud cover on Friday, and highs are
expected to be in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

The upper low is progged to move slowly northeast into north-central
Kansas by Saturday evening, and then to open into a trough and shift
east into the Midwest Saturday night. Showers and a few
thunderstorms are expected across mainly our eastern and
southeastern counties Saturday morning, and should shift east out
of our area Saturday evening. With the track of the aforementioned
upper system, cloud cover will decrease from the west in the
afternoon as drier air filters into the area. Highs on Saturday
are expected to be 80-85 degrees.

The weekend will finish with mostly sunny skies on Sunday, with
light north to northeast winds and highs in the lower to mid 80s.
The early to middle part of next week should feature a period of
pleasant weather for our area, with drier air in place. Mostly
clear skies are expected Monday through Wednesday with warm days
and cool nights. Daily highs are expected to be in the lower to
mid 80s, with early morning lows mostly in the mid to upper 50s.
The GFS and ECMWF have some differences with the forecast position
of a closed low to the east and an upper ridge just to our west
during that time. The GFS is farther west with these features and
has stronger northerly flow aloft for our area. This only results
in minor differences in what we are anticipating at this point.

Currently seeing VFR conditions across the terminals. Scattered
to numerous showers and thunderstorms will develop initially
across the northern terminals this afternoon and early evening,
then spread south and east across the remaining terminals later
this evening and overnight. Some hail and gusty winds possible
mainly at KSJT and KABI through mid evening, with heavy rainfall
possible as well. Expect lower ceilings and visibilities
associated with convection. A weak cold front will move through
the area this evening and overnight, with mainly MVFR ceilings
developing after midnight. Additional showers/storms are possible
into the morning hours.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of west central
Texas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon through
tonight. The main hazard is heavy rainfall which could lead to
localized flooding. However the threat for damaging winds and
large hail is present and will be possible with storms,
especially this afternoon and early this evening. Occasional to
frequent lightning will also be possible with these storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Showers and thunderstorms will continue to be possible both Friday
and Saturday. Heavy rainfall leading to localized flooding and
occasional lightning will be the main hazards. Severe weather is
not currently anticipated with this activity.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will likely be needed this afternoon and
evening, mainly in the Big Country, Concho Valley, and Edwards
Plateau. Please relay any information about observed weather to
