.SYNOPSIS...Dry weather will allow rivers to recede over the
weekend. The weather will be mostly clear with breezy offshore flow
Saturday and Sunday. A weak front will break up over the area on
Monday. Another weather system will reach the area by next Thursday.

.SHORT TERM /TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY/...Skies will be clearing
where they haven't already cleared. Patchy fog will probably be
confined to the more sheltered areas and river valleys. Offshore
flow will develop as a 1035mb high center develops near southeast
British Columbia while a 1012mb low lingers near the northern Calif
coast. A weak upper low will move into Oregon over the weekend but
skies will remain mostly clear over Western Washington. A weak front
will break up over the area around Monday afternoon as high pressure
breaks down. 19
.LONG TERM /TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/...A front should arrive
Thursday--the GFS is a little faster and wetter than the ECMWF and
Canadian models which make it look pretty average and a bit splitty.
The lowlands will see highs in the 50s and lows in the 40s. Nothing
looks too interesting until we get beyond the first week of
November. 19

.AVIATION...Westerly flow aloft through this morning with
northwesterly flow aloft later today as an upper trough moves
through the area. VFR/MVFR across the area this afternoon with
lifting ceilings. Winds will be mostly northerly through today,
roughly between 5-10 kt. VFR conditions expected into Saturday with
north to northeast winds continuing over the area. Areas closest to
Puget Sound and the Northern Inland Waters may see breezy
northerlies through Saturday afternoon. East to northeasterly winds
may get breezy through the Cascade gaps on Saturday, leading to some
potential for low level wind shear. Another weather system will
likely impact the area on Monday.
KSEA...MVFR to VFR conditions are expected over the terminal this
afternoon, persisting through Saturday. Surface winds are expected
to remain north to northeasterly through the period, generally
between 4-8 kts. Northeasterly winds in the early afternoon on
Saturday could be between 8-10 knots.

.MARINE...As an upper level ridge builds into the area for
the weekend, additional marine headlines have been posted for
offshore winds over the coastal waters, and for breezy northerlies
along portions of the interior waters. Seas will be between 6-8 feet
overnight tonight before settling to below 6 feet early Saturday
morning. There is a possibility of reduced visibilities due to fog
over the area waters Saturday morning, but might be mitigated by
winds generally over 5 knots overnight.
