...The National Weather Service in Seattle WA has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Washington...
Snohomish River At Snohomish affecting Snohomish County.
.Heavy rain over the Central Cascades, 24 hour rainfall amounts in
the 3 to 5 inch range, came to an end early this morning. Lighter
rain will continue this morning before the rain band drops south of
the area midday.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* Until early tomorrow afternoon.
* At 4:00 AM PDT Friday the stage was 23.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will reach flood stage around 9 am and crest
near 26.8 feet late this afternoon.The river will not recede back
below flood stage until late Saturday morning or Saturday
afternoon.
* Impact...At 27.0 feet, the Snohomish River will flood several
roads...including the Snohomish-Monroe highway...and low areas of
the lower Snohomish valley that are not protected by levees. A
stage of 27 feet on the Snohomish River corresponds roughly to a
Phase 2 in the Snohomish County flood program.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 26.7
feet on 10/25/1946.

flood warning has ended for the Skagit River at Concrete, Snoqualmie

Downstream on those rivers the flood warnings remain. The Skagit
River near Mt. Vernon, Snoqualmie River near Carnation, and the
Snohomish River at Snohomish are still rising.
