northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia,
southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast West
Virginia.

Showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening could bring
torrential downpours, leading to localized flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Heavy rainfall could lead to localized flooding Tuesday and
Wednesday. Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Tuesday
afternoon into Tuesday night.
