Today through Saturday...

A pesky band of light snow refused to let up last night, coating
much of the CWA along and North of I-80 with a fresh dusting of
powder. While snowfall finally tapered off around midnight, the
cold air remained. Temperatures have dropped into the single
digits below 0 this morning, with wind chills ranging from -15 to
-30. A Wind Chill Advisory will remain in effect until noon today.

Another round of snow will arrive late Friday morning and persist
through Friday night as our next wave moves across the region.
Overall, the forcing still looks fairly meager with this round, but
given that snow will be falling late Friday morning and continue
through Saturday morning, as well as substantial saturation
within the DGZ, 1-3 inches of accumulation will be possible. The
primary impacts of this event will likely be felt during the
Friday evening commute. It is worth noting that Friday is the day
of the week that sees the most accidents in our region, with 3pm-
6pm being the time of day that most accidents occur. Adding a
layer of light snow and reduced visibilities to this volatile time
period will likely lead to some hazardous travel conditions.
Therefore, we have a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from late
Friday morning through early Saturday morning.

The fresh snow will only help to reinforce the cold on Saturday
morning.  Wind chills will once again drop to around -20 F,
prompting us to hoist another wind chill advisory in coordination
with our neighbors.

Sunday through Tuesday...

The cold gets colder by Sunday and into early next week. Our
"warmest" temperatures on Sunday and Monday will be in the single
digits below 0. Lows will be in the negative teens and 20s Monday
and Tuesday morning. Wind chills will plummet to the negative 20s
and 30s.  As if the cold it self wasn't enough, we'll toss in
another half inch to 2 inches of snow Sunday morning.

Rest of the week...

Thankfully, there isn't a good signal for additional precipitation
chances for the rest of the week. Additionally, it looks like we
might actually see a "warming" trend by the second half of the week.
 Highs on Wednesday will reach the teens (above 0) and with balmy 20s
and 30s possible by Friday.

Snow has moved in across much of the area. Expect this snow to
continue through the day and into the overnight. Visibilities may
be reduced to 1 mile at times. Expect accumulations of 1-3 inches
through the event. While winds will be fairly light, due to the
light and fluffy nature of the snow, expect some patchy blowing
snow to be possible even after snow ends. Expect to snow to come
to an end overnight with a gradual improvements to ceilings toward
Saturday morning.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Snow has moved in across the area and is expected to continue
into early Saturday morning. Total accumulations could range from
1 to 4 inches. The Friday evening commute will be impacted.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Overnight wind chills will continue to be hazardous through next
Tuesday. Wind chill indices will range generally from 20 to 25
below Saturday morning, and could drop to 25 to 40 below from
Sunday through Tuesday. Additional windchill products will be
needed for the weekend into next week.

And yet another round of additional light snow will be possible
along and south of Interstate 80 Sunday into Monday with another
half inch to 2 inches.
