Carolina...east Tennessee and southwest Virginia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A strong low pressure system will begin to affect the area
by tonight, with a mixed bag of precipitation. Higher confidence
of accumulating snowfall exists across the far East Tennessee
mountains and the mountains of southwest North Carolina, with
heavy amounts expected over the higher elevations. Lower
confidence exists for light snow accumulations across the
Cumberland Plateau and valley locations.

Uncertainty is high with this system, but there is the potential
for impacts across the area. Continue to monitor the latest
forecasts.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

The storm system will continue to affect the area into Friday with
some rain and snow. Higher confidence of accumulating snowfall
exists across the far East Tennessee mountains and the mountains
of southwest North Carolina, with heavy amounts expected over the
higher elevations. Lower confidence exists for light snow
accumulations across the Cumberland Plateau and valley locations.
