CENTRAL DARE AND EAST CENTRAL PAMLICO COUNTIES...

At 404 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Manns Harbor to 9 miles east of
Florence. Movement was east at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Stumpy Point, Salvo, Manns Harbor, Gull Rock, Waves, Rodanthe, New
Holland, Nebraska, Lake Landing, Middletown, Fort Landing, Lake
Mattamuskeet, Wanchese, Hatteras Island Fishing Pier and Bodie Island
Lighthouse.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
