The National Weather Service in Lubbock has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northern Crosby County in northwestern Texas...
Southwestern Floyd County in northwestern Texas...
* Until midnight CDT.
* At 959 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a slow moving severe
thunderstorm had produced torrential rain across the warned area
near Cone in northern Crosby County. Between 2 and 4 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area as new storms move in from the west.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

FOR NORTHERN CROSBY AND SOUTHWESTERN FLOYD COUNTIES...
At 1031 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong to severe
thunderstorms producing very heavy rain moving through the area.
Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall
amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

and 4 inches of rain fell earlier this evening.
