...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of eastern Rapides, east
central Evangeline, Avoyelles and northeastern St. Landry Parishes
through 545 AM CDT...

At 452 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Deville to Mansura to near Indian Lake.
Movement was southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Marksville, Bunkie, Simmesport, Melville, Moreauville, Palmetto,
Bordelonville, Bayou Current, Morrow, Effie, Cottonport, Mansura,
Hessmer, Evergreen, Plaucheville, Goudeau, Lake Ophelia National
Wildlife Refuge, Indian Lake, Whiteville and Big Cane.

This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 29 and 50.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

At 551 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Timber Trails to near Larto to near Marksville
to Whiteville. Movement was southeast at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and torrential rainfall

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Alexandria, Pineville, Marksville, Bunkie, Simmesport, Boyce,
Moreauville, Cheneyville, Palmetto, Bordelonville, Bayou Current,
Alexandria International Airport, Morrow, Effie, Ball, Cottonport,
Mansura, Hessmer, Evergreen and Plaucheville.

This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 35 and 55, and
between mile markers 77 and 102.
