...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of south central
Rapides, Evangeline and eastern Allen Parishes through 1215 AM CDT...

At 1134 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Glenmora, moving south at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Oakdale, Ville Platte, Mamou, Oberlin, Glenmora, Elizabeth, Turkey
Creek, Pine Prairie, Bayou Chicot, Indian Lake, Chicot State Park,
Allen Parish Airport, Beaver, Reddell, Bond, St. Landry, Forest Hill,
Mcnary and Union Hill.

This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 39 and 40, between
mile markers 43 and 44, and between mile markers 63 and 65.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of eastern Rapides, east
central Evangeline, Avoyelles and northeastern St. Landry Parishes
through 545 AM CDT...

At 452 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Deville to Mansura to near Indian Lake.
Movement was southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Marksville, Bunkie, Simmesport, Melville, Moreauville, Palmetto,
Bordelonville, Bayou Current, Morrow, Effie, Cottonport, Mansura,
Hessmer, Evergreen, Plaucheville, Goudeau, Lake Ophelia National
Wildlife Refuge, Indian Lake, Whiteville and Big Cane.

This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 29 and 50.
