* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early 
  Wednesday afternoon to a crest of 12.2 feet early Thursday 
  morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet, Minor flooding of low lying areas and 
  timber lands including some properties along St. Mary's River 
  Bluff Road and the Cypress Landing Resort on the Georgia side.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early 
  Thursday afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 36.4 feet 
  early Saturday afternoon.
* Impact...At 33.0 feet, High water will begin to impact docks and 
  boat ramps in the area.
* Impact...At 34.2 feet, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission begins 
  enforcement of a no wake zone on the Santa Fe River from the River 
  Rise in O'Leno State Park downstream to the center line of the US 
  27 Bridge.
* Impact...At 35.0 feet, Wooded areas along the river begin to 
  flood. The boat ramp south of US-441 in Alachua County is 
  inaccessible above this level.
* Impact...At 37.0 feet, Water begins to approach two residences 
  along the river at the end of Southeast Resort Circle in Columbia 
  County. The boat ramp near the US-27 bridge in Columbia County 
  begins to flood at this level.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 47.7 feet 
  early Friday afternoon.
* Impact...At 41.0 feet, Swimming becomes dangerous in the river in 
  the park area.
* Impact...At 42.0 feet, Boat ramp at the end of Bible Camp Road 
  begins to flood.
* Impact...At 43.0 feet, Access to river gage becomes limited as the 
  Bible Camp Road boat ramp becomes flooded and the last half mile 
  of Bible Camp Road begins to flood in Columbia County. Overland 
  flooding begins past the Santa Fe River sink in the park and will 
  cut-off access road to south end of the park.
* Impact...At 45.0 feet, Numerous walking trails in O'leno State 
  Park are flooded on the Alachua County side of the river. Flooding 
  begins to affect local roads north of Buzzard Roost Prairie in 
  Columbia County.
* Impact...At 52.0 feet, A barn floods upstream of O'leno State park 
  in Alachua County at this level.

  Park in Worthington Springs begin to flood.
* Impact...At 59.0 feet, Chastain-Seay Park in Worthington Springs 
  is generally closed to the public as access roads within the park 
  become flooded.
* Impact...At 60.0 feet, A driveway near Southwest 102nd Court in 
  Union County begins to flood at this level. Flooding along the 
  river continues to impact boat ramps, docks and campgrounds in the 
  area.
* Impact...At 62.0 feet, In Union County, flooding expands across 
  farm land south of County Road 18 and approaches the road surface 
  about 1 mile east of Southwest County Road 241.
* Impact...At 63.0 feet, Southwest 99th Avenue in Union County 
  begins to flood.

  Drive south of Santa Fe Road in Columbia County.
* Impact...At 16.3 feet, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission begins 
  enforcement of a no wake zone on the Santa Fe River from the 
  unnamed island 1.5 miles downstream of the Wilson's Spring Boat 
  Ramp to the confluence with the Suwannee River and on the 
  Ichetucknee River upstream to the US 27 bridge.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet, Water begins to enter backyards of 
  residences on Santa Fe Road in Columbia County and on River Run 
  Road in Suwannee County.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Water begins to flood River Run Road in 
  Suwannee County.
* Impact...At 18.8 feet, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission 
  expands the no wake zone restriction further upstream on the Santa 
  Fe River from the unnamed island 1.5 miles downstream on the 
  Wilson's Spring Boat Ramp to one-half mile upstream of the State 
  Road 47 bridge.
* Impact...At 19.0 feet, Water begins to enter backyards of 
  residences along the Ichetucknee River.
* Impact...At 19.8 feet, Waters begins to affect homes in the 
  Hollingsworth Bluff area at State Route 47.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet, Access to homes on Santa Fe Road below SW 
  Riverside Avenue becomes restricted in Columbia. Flooding begins 
  on Santa Fe and Wilson Springs Road.
* Impact...At 21.0 feet, Homes are surrounded on River Run Road in

.AVIATION...
[Through 12Z Tuesday]

Periods of IFR ceilings are expected through around 16Z at VQQ and
GNV, while periods of MVFR ceilings will be possible at JAX, CRG,
and SSI. VFR conditions should prevail at SGJ, with VFR conditions
then expected area-wide by 17Z. Showers and thunderstorms will
likely begin to develop near the SSI and GNV terminals towards
18Z, with activity moving east-northeastward from the Suwannee
Valley and expanding in coverage and intensity as it approaches
the rest of the regional terminals during the mid to late
afternoon hours. We included TEMPO groups at all area terminals
this afternoon for briefly gusty winds and IFR to MVFR
visibilities during heavier downpours, with longer periods of IFR
conditions possible at the Duval County terminals and SSI during
the late afternoon hours. Outside of thunderstorm activity, south
to southwesterly surface winds will be sustained around 5 knots,
with winds shifting to easterly and increasing to around 10 knots at
the coastal terminals towards 17Z. Convection should shift
offshore towards 00Z, with a period of VFR conditions expected
this evening in the wake of this activity. MVFR to IFR conditions
will again be possible at VQQ and GNV after 06Z, with MVFR
ceilings possible at the coastal terminals after 09Z.

.PREV DISCUSSION [401 AM EDT]...

.NEAR TERM [Today Through Tonight]...

A low to mid level trough of low pressure remains located over
northeast FL through srn AL and MS to a strong trough over the MS
valley area. In the lower levels from sfc to 925 mb, the trough
will lift northward today to near the Altamaha River Basin by this
evening. This trough will push further north tonight. The trough
lifting northward will re-orient the sfc-925 mb flow from
southeast to more south and southwest later tonight. The low level
inflow to the north of the trough today will setup initial
scattered showers and storms from the coastal areas from Flagler
county northward through coastal southeast GA into southeast GA as
far inland as Hazlehurst. This will setup a good potential for
episodes of heavy rainfall production along the coast and
especially for southeast GA. Localized flooding will be possible
both this morning and during the afternoon and evening hours.
Though not all the areas could see excessive rainfall, prior days
of rains and current guidance suggests there is potential for
flooding. Given this, have extended the flood watch for inland
northeast FL near I-75 and add additional counties. Rainfall
amounts up to 2-4 inches possible through late tonight. Highs will
be held to the mid 80s for most areas.

Tonight...Scattered to numerous showers and storm expected in the
evening and probably more focused over the eastern zones as deep
layer southwest flow begins to take shape. Heavy rainfall chances
are expected to persist due to the weak storm motion and potential
increased low level southeast flow off the Atlantic. Should see
activity diminish after midnight as forcing weakens and air
becomes more stable overnight. Lows again in the lower 70s with
patchy late night fog.

.SHORT TERM [Tuesday Through Wednesday night]...

Wet pattern with humid conditions will persist through Wednesday
evening. A sharp upper shortwave trough will move east and amplify
from the upper Plains into the Great Lakes region on Wednesday.
This will push a cold front through se Ga/ne Fl Wednesday night.
Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected Tuesday through
Wednesday evening as deep moisture and instability remain across
the area. Rain will end from the nw Wednesday night as drier air
advects into the southeast.

.LONG TERM [Thursday Through Sunday]...

Cold front will be south of the area Thursday morning as high
pressure builds in from the northwest. Skies will clear over se Ga
but low clouds and a chance of mainly coastal showers will linger
into the weekend over ne Fl as winds become onshore. Cooler
temperatures with less humid conditions will prevail inland. Low
temperatures will range from the upper 50s over inland se Ga to
near 70 degrees at the coast. High temperatures will be in the
low/mid 80s.

.MARINE...

Fairly light southeast winds over the area waters around 5-10 kt
but will increase during the day as east coast sea breeze gets
going. Wind will tend to shift to more southerly Tuesday and
Wednesday. Scattered to numerous showers and storms are expected
through Wednesday due to abundant moisture over the area waters.
The coastal trough near the coast will slowly push inland Tue and
Wed, only to move offshore by late Wed ahead of a cold front. The
cold front will then enter the coastal waters late Wednesday
night, followed by increased north winds on Thursday, shifting to
north-northeast on Friday as high pressure builds due north of
the waters.

Rip Currents: Moderate risk of rip currents will continue through
Tuesday due to onshore flow and easterly swells.

.HYDROLOGY...

Locally heavy rainfall and localized flooding expected through
early Tuesday morning with WPC a showing marginal risk of
excessive rainfall across the area. Additional rainfall amounts up
to 2-4 inches possible through late tonight, but more probable
1-2 inches for good part of the area. With already saturated soils
from recent heavy rainfall, a Flood Watch is in effect for
counties along the I-75 corridor. Added counties to the watch
where potential heavy rains occurs again where heavy rains fell
on Sunday. In addition, along the coast counties, drains could
back up from higher than normal tides due to the full moon and the
weak onshore we have had.

Minor flooding is either occurring or forecasted along much of
the Santa Fe river. St Marys and Satilla Rivers will see water
level rises but currently progged to be in action stage.
