The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Morgan County in west central Illinois...
  Scott County in west central Illinois...

* Until 345 AM CDT.

* At 946 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Jacksonville, Winchester, Alexander, Waverly, Meredosia, Bluffs, 
  Franklin, Murrayville, Woodson, Chapin, Arenzville, Manchester, 
  Alsey, Naples, Exeter, Literberry, South Jacksonville, Concord, 
  Glasgow and Lynnville.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 72 near  mile markers 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 
52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 
69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78 and 79.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 AM CDT SATURDAY 
FOR MORGAN AND SCOTT COUNTIES...

At 1054 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported roads flooded south 
of Winchester and across areas of Morgan county. Between 1.5 and 3 
inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing, though the 
heaviest rainfall has shifted east. Light to moderate rainfall will 
continue over the next several hours.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement.

         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
         drainage and low lying areas.
