* At 8:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 27.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this morning to a crest of 35.4 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage Sunday evening.
* Impact...At 36.0 feet, The intersection of Main Street and just
south of 7th Street becomes flooded to a depth of near 10 inches
for a distance of 10 to 15 yards.

* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this morning to a crest of 23.6 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage early Monday afternoon.
* Impact...At 25.0 feet, The roads around the water pumping plant
and the river gage site become flooded. Expect field and cropland
flooding near the river.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this morning to a crest of 29.4 feet just after midnight tonight.
It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening.
* Impact...At 30.0 feet, Flood waters flow across old Highway 169 at
half mile south of the gage site or 2 miles north of Chanute.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.5 feet
just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage
tomorrow evening.
* Impact...At 28.5 feet, Flood waters may flow across old Highway
169 north of Chanute. Agricultural flooding will also occur.

* At 1:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 17.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.7 feet
early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
Monday morning.
* Impact...At 21.0 feet, Xavier Road leading north from the river
gage bridge floods in that immediate vicinity. Also 13000 Road
along the north side of the river bank floods. West of the town of
Faulkner, homes along 120th Street between Star Road and Clem Road
begin to flood.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.0 feet
tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday
evening.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet, Flood waters spread over fields to a
distance of 1 and one fourth miles. Several county roads, mainly
along the left bank are inundated. Several residents which live
along the right bank in the vicinity of Highway 400 may experience
water entering their homes at basement levels.
