Warning for the following rivers in Kansas...

  West Branch Walnut River at El Dorado affecting Butler County.

  Walnut River at Augusta affecting Butler and Cowley Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two 
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't 
drown.

* Flood Warning for
  the West Branch Walnut River at El Dorado.
* From early this morning to this evening.
* At 2:01 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 14.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early 
  this morning to a crest of 23.2 feet this morning. It will then 
  fall below flood stage this morning.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet, North and south of the river gage bridge, 
  flood waters cover parts of Main St near 6th Avenue and 12th 
  Avenue. Flooding also affects the streets between SW 40th and SW 
  50th along SW Haverhill Road, located southwest of the city.

* At 2:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 7.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this 
  afternoon to a crest of 24.1 feet this evening. It will then fall 
  below flood stage just after midnight tonight.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet, A narrow strip of about 80 feet on the 
  right bank begins to overflow.
