PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Persons with interests along these streams should keep alert to rising water and take all precautions to protect their property. will then fall below flood stage Friday evening to 12.4 feet and
begin rising again Saturday evening. It will rise to 16.7 feet
early Monday morning. It will then fall again and remain below

inundates County Road 283. Livestock could be cut off and should
be removed from the flood plain.

at 8:15 PM CDT Wednesday was 23.7 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 25.6 feet early Friday morning.
It will then fall below flood stage late Friday evening to 15.3
feet and begin rising again early Sunday morning. It will rise to
19.1 feet Monday morning. It will then fall again and remain below
flood stage.
* Impact...At 25.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding begins with the
river one third of a mile wide near the Highway 59 bridge flooding
secondary roads and bridges along the river. Livestock are
isolated and potentially drown.

midnight tonight to 26.1 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall
below flood stage early Friday morning to 7.5 feet and begin
rising again early Saturday afternoon. It will rise to 12.5 feet
Sunday evening. It will then fall again and remain below flood
stage.
* Impact...At 27.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding begins with the
approaches to the FM 530 bridge inundated and the gage cut off.

at 8:15 PM CDT Wednesday was 26.1 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 27.8 feet early Friday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday morning to
11.3 feet and begin rising again early Sunday morning. It will
rise to 14.3 feet Monday morning. It will then fall again and
remain below flood stage.
* Impact...At 26.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding begins
threatening livestock and property in the river channel. The right
approach to the County Road 401 bridge is closed making travel
difficult.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.0 feet
just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage
early tomorrow afternoon.
* Impact...At 26.0 feet, Major lowland flooding begins as two
channels under the Highway 90A bridge merges becoming one channel
several hundered yards wide. The lowest homes in the floodplain
downstream near Vienna and in Jackson County are threatened.

at 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 29.1 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 29.5 feet
tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Friday
evening.
* Impact...At 29.0 feet, Major lowland flooding begins as both
approaches to the FM 456 bridge are cut off and water is over the
road on FM 1468 near Clemville, FM 2431 east of Midfield, and FM
2853 southeast of Blessing with several homes in the El Dorado
Country subdivision upstream and Oak Grove and Tres Palacios Oaks
downstream flooded.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 134.3 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 135.1 feet Monday
evening. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
* Impact...At 135.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding continues as
significant backwater up Thomas Lake floods the lowest areas in
the Green Rich Shore Subdivision in Walker County with the boat
ramp completely inundated. The lowest lying areas in the Deep
River Plantation Subdivision and FM 980 northwest of Riverside are
threatened.

flooding upstream from the gage with significant backwater
flooding up West Bernard Creek and Peach Creek in Wharton County
and low lying areas in the El Lobo subdivision are threatened.
Backwater flooding up Snake Creek in Fort Bend County threatens
low areas in the Tierra Grande subdivision.

the Trinity River near Moss Bluff.

* At 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 13.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 13.5 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.6 feet
tomorrow morning. It will then rise to 13.7 feet Saturday evening.
Additional rises are possible thereafter.
* Impact...At 12.2 feet, Minor lowland flooding begins in the
vicinity of the gage.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.8
feet on 11/18/1998.
