  Southeastern Iredell County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
  Northwestern Rowan County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 600 PM EDT.

* At 507 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles southeast
  of Statesville, or near Cleveland, and is nearly stationary.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind 
           damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Cleveland, Piedmont Research Station, Mount Ulla and Mooresville.

Brief damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines over small

FOR SOUTHEASTERN IREDELL AND WEST CENTRAL ROWAN COUNTIES...

At 525 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles southeast
of Statesville, or 4 miles southwest of Cleveland, moving south at 5
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind 
         damage to trees and power lines.
