This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska...
northwest Kansas and east central Colorado.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are expected this
afternoon for Eastern Colorado, Southwest Nebraska, and far
Northwestern Kansas due to low relative humidity values in the mid
teens and dry fuels.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and
evening, mainly in Southwest Nebraska and Northwest Kansas. Hazards
include wind gusts up to 60 mph and hail up to quarters in size.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...

Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are possible on
Wednesday afternoon for Eastern Colorado, Southwest Nebraska, and far
Northwestern Kansas due to low relative humidity values and dry
fuels.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be required during the late afternoon and
evening hours as storms move across the area.

...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northeastern
Rawlins, northwestern Decatur, southwestern Red Willow and
southeastern Hitchcock Counties through 1215 AM CDT...

At 1148 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles northwest of Ludell, or 12 miles south of Trenton, moving east
at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern
Rawlins, northwestern Decatur, southwestern Red Willow and
southeastern Hitchcock Counties.
