The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central McLennan County in central Texas...
* Until 600 PM CDT.
* At 251 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly. Trained spotter reported water on the road about 2 feet
deep at Bagby and Gateway Blvd in southern Waco.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Doppler radar.
IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
poor drainage and low lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Waco, Hewitt, Robinson, Bellmead, Woodway, Lacy-Lakeview, McGregor
and Beverly Hills.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area.

FOR CENTRAL MCLENNAN COUNTY...
At 453 PM CDT, Broadcast media reported that Earle Road between
Castelman Creek and 1st Street in Hewitt is closed due to flooding.
Street flooding with a few cars stranded around Hewitt High School
was also reported earlier.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
