...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EDT THIS 
MORNING FOR CENTRAL DODGE, SOUTHWESTERN LAURENS, SOUTHERN PULASKI 
AND NORTHWESTERN WILCOX COUNTIES...

At 731 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 
and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 
to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is 
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Eastman, Pineview, Chauncey, Pitts, Union, Ocmulgee Banks, Cedar 
  Creek, Five Points, Finleyson, Godwinsville, Pope City, Pleasant 
  View, Jay Bird Springs and Seville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

* Until 100 PM EDT.

* At 1047 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms produced heavy rain across the warned area with 
  between 2 and 6 inches of rain fallen. Although the heavy rain has 
  ended, flash flooding may continue around the area as runoff 
  occurs. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING IS CANCELLED FOR CENTRAL DODGE, SOUTHWESTERN 
LAURENS, SOUTHERN PULASKI AND NORTHWESTERN WILCOX COUNTIES...

The heavy rain has ended and Flash Flooding is no longer expected to 
pose a threat, however lingering areal flooding may continue around 
the area due to run off in combination with overly saturated soils. 
Please continue to heed remaining road closures.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 200 PM EDT for portions 
of central Georgia, east central Georgia, north central Georgia, 
northeast Georgia and southeast Georgia.
