.SHORT TERM...(Tonight through Saturday evening)
Issued at 1200 AM CDT Sat Jun 26 2021

Much more tranquil weather is expected for today and tonight. Subsidence
in the wake of the departing synoptic trof and drier air advecting
in from the north will result is diminishing precipitation chances
for the first half of the day. Will carry low pops and gradually taper
them off as the day wears on. So, two good news pieces. The first is
that severe weather is not expected today. The second is that we will
see much cooler highs today with values ranging from the mid to upper
70s across much of the FA to lower 80s across the southeast zones.

The tranquil weather will continue heading into tonight as well. Drier
air will continue to move in from the north. Humidity will be decent
through the morning hours. A light north wind is expected. Overnight
lows will range from the mid to upper 50s across the northwest zones
to lower 60s across the southeast zones.

Enjoy the break from the heat and the pleasant weather during the short
term!

.LONG TERM...(After midnight Saturday night through Friday)

On Sunday, a very strong mid level anticyclone will plant itself across
the Pacific Northwest and into western Canada. This is where the intense
Summer heat will be confined to. For our area, we will see below normal
highs with values peaking in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Certainly
cannot complain with highs like those at the end of June! Dry weather
is expected with any storms remaining out of the FA.

The synoptic flow remains practically the same for Monday. A weak wave
will slide down on the eastern side of the amplified ridge. This will
help to keep our temperatures below normal. Again, very pleasant highs
are expected with a mix of 70s and 80s. Any chances of storms will
remain on the isolated side Monday and Tuesday. Much of the area will
remain dry.

For the rest of the extended period, we will see moderating temperatures.
Values should trend to near back to normal by the end of the business
week. Other than isolated chances of hit or miss storms, much of the
area will remain dry.

.AVIATION...(For the 18Z TAFS through 18Z Sunday afternoon)
Issued at 1242 PM CDT Sat Jun 26 2021

Aviation weather will be fairly tranquil through this period.
North winds of 10 to 15 knots will gradually decrease in strength
to around 6 to 9 knots this evening, which will likely continue
through the day Sunday with a weak pressure gradient in place. For
all 4 terminals, we have left out mention of showers, as they will
likely be just isolated to widely scattered in nature. Amendments
will be necessary should the coverage increase more than
expected.

miles northwest of Acres, moving northeast at 20 mph.

Pea size hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with
this storm.
