EASTERN NIAGARA...ORLEANS AND GENESEE COUNTIES... At 947 PM EDT, blossoming thunderstorms were found across much of the Niagara Frontier with a general movement to the southeast at 25 mph. Winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with these storms. There may even be some pea sized hail. Locations impacted include... Clarence, Batavia, Medina, Albion, Darien Lakes State Park, Pembroke, Akron, Alden, Attica, Byron, Middleport, Oakfield, Holley, Waterport, Kent, Ridgeway, Shelby, Clarendon, Gaines and Kendall. This includes Interstate 90 between exits 48A and 48. The main character of the storms though will be heavy rain. Torrential rainfall from these storms may cause localized flooding. Similar storms earlier in the evening generated a half to one inch of rain in under an hour. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
