Southeastern Allegany County in western New York...
* Until 145 PM EDT.
* At 748 AM EDT, trained weather spotters reported that heavy rain
has occurred in the warned area. Reports from spotters and law
enforcement indicate active flooding is ongoing in Willing,
Independence and Whitesville. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have
fallen in these areas since Wednesday.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Whitesville, Andover, Alma, Stannards and Paynesville.
Minimal additional rainfall is expected in the warned area this
morning. A river flood warning is also in effect for the Genesee
River in this area.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

active flooding continues in Willing, Independence and Whitesville.
Road closures have occurred in some of the area. Between 3 and 5
inches of rain occurred in these areas Wednesday and Wednesday night.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Whitesville, Andover, Alma, Stannards and Paynesville.
Minimal additional rain is expected the rest of today.

remain closed, including State Route 19 through Willing. Between 3
and 5 inches of rain occurred in these areas Wednesday and
Wednesday night.

Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are possible in the
