evening. An area of thunderstorms will move into the region this
afternoon. A few storms will produce damaging wind gusts and brief
downpours.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN CAYUGA...NORTH
CENTRAL CORTLAND AND SOUTHERN ONONDAGA COUNTIES...

At 1246 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Skaneateles,
or 8 miles east of Auburn, moving southeast at 40 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Onondaga, Syracuse, Auburn, Pompey, Otisco, Skaneateles, Marcellus,
Preble, Jordan and Camillus.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
