PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

* At 9:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 12.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this 
  afternoon to a crest of 16.5 feet this afternoon. It will then 
  fall below flood stage late this afternoon.
* Impact...at 16.0 feet, Minor flooding begins at this stage. Water 
  reaches Route 427 upstream of the gage.
