MORNING FOR NORTHERN CORTLAND AND SOUTHERN ONONDAGA COUNTIES...
At 212 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rain was
moving north of the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible
in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing in several locations.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Syracuse, Pompey, Manlius, Owasco, Homer, Otisco, Skaneateles,
Marcellus, Preble, Camillus, Scott, Truxton, Cuyler, Tully, Lyndon,
Fabius, La Fayette, East Homer, Watervale and De Witt.
Several roads were reported flooded from Homer to Preble. Roads were
also flooded near Otisco lake. Runoff from earlier heavy rains will
continue to cause flash flood problems.
