  river. Hickman Springs Road, Defeated Creek Road, and Leatherwood Road will be
  impassable. Defeated Creek will flood due to backwater from the Duck River.
* At 22.0 feet...Flood waters will cover the flood plain along the river.

Some light showers are moving through the area with MRMS QPE
showing less than one tenth of an inch in the last 3 hours along
the southern tier of counties. Elsewhere, any rainfall has been
just a hundredth or two. HRRR shows more light showers overnight
with no significant rain amounts. With the blanket of cloud cover,
temperatures will not move much the rest of the night. The
current forecast is on track. Only made minor adjustments to
hourly temperatures and PoPs.

00Z TAF DISCUSSION.

A couple of spots are still MVFR but it looks like KBNA/KMQY/KCKV
should improve to VFR for several hours overnight as the warm
front takes its time moving northward. Conditions should start to
deteriorate again by 10-11Z with IFR and more showers settling in
by mid-morning Wednesday. TS will be possible near the end of this
TAF cycle, but for better timing, will wait until 06Z issuance to
prevail.

Winds will remain light tonight and most of tomorrow, but swing
from the north to the east by tomorrow afternoon.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Middle
Tennessee.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Several rivers, creeks and stream across mid state will
continue to experience flooding or elevated levels
through tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

A strong frontal system will work across middle Tennessee on
Wednesday. Enough instability may be in place by the afternoon
and evening hours whereby strong to severe thunderstorms could
develop. Currently, the best chance of severe weather will be
across southern and eastern areas with hail and damaging winds
being the primary threat, although the development of a few
tornadoes can not be totally ruled out.

In addition to the severe weather threat, total rainfall amounts
of 1 to 2 inches with locally heavier amounts possible on top of
a very saturated ground will lead to an increasing threat of
flash flooding Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night and
across the Cumberland Plateau Region through mid morning hours
on Thursday. A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for mid state
as a result during this time period. Also, already elevated
levels on several area rivers, creeks, and streams will worsen.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed on Wednesday afternoon
and into Thursday morning for potential flooding and
for strong to severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon
and evening.
