Large waves will create a moderate swim risk along the Schoolcraft County lakeshore Wednesday morning. High waves will develop along the Alger County shoreline Wednesday afternoon, creating a high swim risk. Strong winds will be possible across the Keweenaw Peninsula on Thursday. These winds may be strong enough to create sporadic power outages and build waves along the lakeshore that may cause some minor lakeshore flooding or beach erosion. West to northwest gales to 45 knots are possible on Thursday. Some storm force gusts cannot be ruled out for higher platforms.
