.NEAR TERM /Now Through Wednesday/...Upper and mid-level zonal
flow will persist through Tuesday before turning more
southwesterly on Wednesday as a strengthening upper/mid level
trough approaches from the west. Mostly clear skies will continue
through today with only a few thin, high clouds possible. Low-
level moisture begins to increase late tonight into Wednesday as
southerly flow develops ahead of the approaching upper/mid level
trough.
At the surface, high pressure shifts off to the northeast with
surface flow gradually shifting to more southerly through
Wednesday afternoon. A surface low moves across the midwest with
a surface cold front extending down through the central CONUS. Dry
conditions are expected to continue through early Wednesday
before rain chances begin increasing from the west late in the
afternoon on Wednesday with the approaching upper/mid-level
system and associated surface cold front. High temperatures today
will be in the low to upper 60s across the region. Tonight, some
patchy fog is possible mainly across the western portions of the
CWA. Lows tonight are expected to range from the low to mid 40s
inland to low 50s near the coast. On Wednesday, high temperatures
will mainly be in the mid and upper 60s north of I-10, with low

18Z issuance...VFR conditions are expected to prevail through the next
24 hours with only a few passing high, thin clouds. Calm to light
north-northeast winds will become more east to southeast this
afternoon and tonight and increase in speed to around 5-10kts. Some
patchy MVFR fog maybe possible, mainly over the western portion of
the CWA. However, confidence was low enough to leave this feature
