the Fox River Lower Near New Munster.
* From early this morning to Wednesday evening.
* At 4:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 10.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this morning to a crest of 11.5 feet tomorrow morning. It will
then fall below flood stage early Wednesday afternoon.
* Impact...At 11.5 feet, Water is in the yards of some homes in the
Village of Salem Lakes and Town of Wheatland areas. There are 3-4
inches of water over 77th Street in the Town of Wheatland.

the Wisconsin River At Portage.
* Until further notice.
* At 3:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 17.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.8 feet
early Tuesday afternoon.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Water surrounds seasonal homes along Old
River Rd in the Blackhawk Park and 12 homes flooded on Hwy V. Old
River Rd covered with water. West Lane Rd in the Long Lake area
has 4 feet of water over it in places. Water over River Oaks Rd
near Hwy V and Oak Knoll Rd in Town of Dekorra 7 miles downstream.
Water at base of Caledonia/Lewiston Levee on Old River Rd. This
level is about a 20 percent chance flood meaning that there is a
20 percent chance in any given year of the river reaching this
level.

Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 13.5 feet, Floodwaters are over the banks in parts of
downtown Berlin including Riverside and Webster Street Parks.
There is minor flooding in the Berlin area. This is the 50 percent
flood level meaning there is a 50 percent chance in any given year
that the river will reach this level.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.7 feet
Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 17.5 feet, In the Blackhawk Park area in the Town of
Caledonia, Old River Road is closed with water over it. West Lane
Road in the Long Lake area is closed with about 4 feet of water
over it in places. wood Street in the Blackhawk Park area is
affected by floodwaters. County Highway V and Oak Knoll Road in
the Town of Dekorra have water up to the edge of the pavement. A
few homes in the Town of Dekorra area near the river have water in
the first floor and there is also flooding of outbuildings and
yards.

Caledonia, Old River Road is closed with water over it. West Lane
Road in the Long Lake area is closed with about 4 feet of water
over it in places. wood Street in the Blackhawk Park area is
affected by floodwaters. County Highway V and Oak Knoll Road in
the Town of Dekorra have water up to the edge of the pavement. A
few homes in the Town of Dekorra area near the river have water in
the first floor and there is also flooding of outbuildings and
yards.

River Rd covered with water. West Lane Rd in the Long Lake area
has 4 feet of water over it in places. Water over River Oaks Rd
near Hwy V and Oak Knoll Rd in Town of Dekorra 7 miles downstream.
Water at base of Caledonia/Lewiston Levee on Old River Rd. This
level is about a 20 percent chance flood meaning that there is a
20 percent chance in any given year of the river reaching this
level.

near Hwy V and Oak Knoll Rd in Town of Dekorra 7 miles downstream.

River Rd covered with water. West Lane Rd in the Long Lake area
has 4 feet of water over it in places. Water over River Oaks Rd
near Hwy V and Oak Knoll Rd in Town of Dekorra 7 miles downstream.
Water at base of Caledonia/Lewiston Levee on Old River Rd. This
level is about a 20 percent chance flood meaning that there is a
20 percent chance in any given year of the river reaching this
level.

stage at 13.5 feet.
* Impact...At 13.5 feet, Floodwaters are over the banks in parts of
downtown Berlin including Riverside and Webster Street Parks.
There is minor flooding in the Berlin area. This is the 50 percent

that the river will reach this level.

.SHORT TERM...
Today and Tonight...Forecast Confidence is Medium...
The upper level low will continue to push through the region today
bringing broad forcing across the region. Currently a dry slot
will keep things dry for the hour or so. However the occlusion
and the corresponding low level TROWAL is beginning to push in
with the backside of the upper level low. With deep moisture
throughout the column we should expect the showers just to the
west to push in bringing scattered showers across southern
Wisconsin. Much of the day could feature a broad area of mostly
light scattered showers. With these showers and corresponding low
clouds we could see some fog as well. No major additional rainfall
amounts are expected. This should begin to push out this evening
with skies clearing overnight. Otherwise breezy west/southwest
winds are expected today especially during the late morning and
afternoon.
Monday through Wednesday...Forecast confidence is high.
The occlusion will continue to fill over srn Ontario on Monday
with a north to south sfc ridge approaching from the west. Enough
low level instability will remain present for mostly cloudy skies
over ern WI, but partly cloudy over south central WI with high
temps in the lower 50s.
A backdoor cold front will then move across srn WI Mon nt,
bringing cooler temps and a stratus deck for Tue. The sfc ridge
will return for Wed with high temps rebounding into the lower 50s
well inland from the lake.
.LONG TERM...Thursday through Saturday...Forecast confidence
low to medium.
A meridional flow over North America is making for evolution and
timing differences of the overall jet stream pattern. Expect WI to
be under the influence of an upper ridge for Thu, but a constant
stream of shortwave troughs in swly flow aloft will shift the
ridge ewd. Sly flow will make for mild temps away from Lake MI
with a cold front to eventually pass toward the end of the week.

.AVIATION(09Z TAFS)...
Some patchy dense fog remains to the north with some BKN CIGS
pushing in as the dry slot pushes east. Mostly VFR conditions over
the next few hours but we will quickly see MVFR CIGS push back in
early this morning from the west. CIGS will eventually fall to IFR
later in the morning with even some reduced VSBYS possibly to MVFR
at times as the the back end of this system pushes through today.
MVFR/IFR CIGS are likely to persist well into the evening before
clouds clear out overnight.

.MARINE...
An area of low pressure is pushing northeast through central
Wisconsin this morning. Winds are beginning to turn southwesterly
winds and will increase as they shift to the west as the low
pushes east later in the day. Gales will be likely for the
southern half of the lake early this morning into this evening
before the pressure gradient weakens tonight. Nearshore winds will
not pick up as quickly but much of the nearshore should reach
gales as well primarily from the late morning through the
afternoon. Northwesterly winds are expected tonight into Monday
and will remain breezy through Monday morning before decreasing
into the afternoon and evening. There will be another brief period
of potential for gales in the northern half of the lake Monday
morning.
Dense fog over the central and northern half of the lake will
continue before likely clearing from south to north today as the
winds increase from the southwest as the low pushes northeast.
