This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida. .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT Rip currents: There is an elevated rip current risk for the Gulf and Atlantic beaches. Marine: Hazardous winds and seas will develop over all local waters later today into tonight. Gales are possible for the Atlantic waters. Thunderstorms: A few thunderstorms are possible over mainly west and interior south Florida. Lightning is the primary hazard, although a few storms may produce gusty winds. Tornadoes: A slight chance of a funnel cloud or a brief tornado may be possible over the interior and western portions of South Florida. Temperatures: Colder air arrives tonight with lows dropping into the 40s and 50s. Waterspouts: Waterspouts may be possible across local South Florida waters this afternoon and tonight with showers or storms. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY Hazardous marine conditions will continue for the local waters into at least Sunday. An elevated rip current risk should continue for area beaches. Colder temperatures will continue into Monday morning with lows in the 40s and 50s and wind chills a few degrees below these values. An elevated fire weather risk is possible on Sunday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed. tracking gusty showers along a line extending from near Babcock
Ranch to 7 miles northeast of Palmona Park to near Cape Coral.
Movement was east at 35 mph.
* Winds in excess of 45 mph and funnel clouds possible with these
showers.
* Locations impacted include...
Labelle, Palmdale, Port La Belle, Ortona and Muse.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the
storm passes.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these shower, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
This activity was also developing in an environment favorable for the
