...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 PM CDT FOR NORTH
CENTRAL TERREBONNE PARISH...

At 1230 PM CDT, a severe squall line capable of producing both
tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage was located near
Houma, moving northwest at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

Locations impacted include...
Houma, Bayou Cane, Gray and Schriever. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile
home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and
protect yourself from flying debris.

Heavy rainfall may hide this tornado. Do not wait to see or hear the

EXPIRE AT 1245 PM CDT...
    
The tornado threat has diminished and the Tornado Warning will be 
allowed to expire. However, damaging winds remain likely and a 
Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the 
area.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning still remains in effect for
Terrebonne Parish until 1245 pm CDT.

...A SQUALL LINE OF TROPICAL SHOWERS WILL AFFECT TERREBONNE PARISH...

At 931 AM CDT, radar indicated tropical showers were located along a
line extending from 37 miles south of Ellerslie to 18 miles
southeast of Burns Point to 24 miles south of Cocodrie. Movement was
northwest at 65 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible with these showers.

Locations impacted include...
Dulac, Montegut, Chauvin, Cocodrie, Tambour Bay Buoy and Lumcon
Center Buoy.

Torrential rainfall and tropical funnels will also be possible with
this squall band.

...A LINE OF TROPICAL SHOWERS WILL AFFECT TERREBONNE PARISH...

At 1129 AM CDT, radar indicated showers were located along a line
extending from 7 miles south of Burns Point to 14 miles southwest of
Dulac to 15 miles southwest of Port Fourchon. Movement was northwest
at 50 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible with these showers. Tropical
funnels and waterspouts over the inundated marshes are also
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Dulac, Cocodrie, Chauvin, Tambour Bay Buoy and Lumcon Center Buoy.
