...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 PM CDT
FOR CENTRAL JEFFERSON AND SOUTHWESTERN ORANGE COUNTIES...

At 108 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Port Acres, or 
7 miles west of Port Arthur, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Beaumont, Port Arthur, Nederland, Groves, Port Neches, Central
Gardens, Port Acres and Southeast Texas Regional Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

.AVIATION...
Afternoon and evening convection is expected with gusty winds at
times. Showers and thunderstorms should diminish after 02Z.
Temporary MVFR/IFR conditions will continue as storms move across
TAF sites, but ceilings and visibilities should improve for
several hours during the evening before patchy fog develops near
sunrise. Southerly winds will decrease through this evening, but
will gradually increase by the late morning hours on Saturday.
Chances of rain return to the terminals in the morning as well.

At 1130 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
near Holly Beach, or 8 miles east of Sabine National Wildlife,
moving east or northeast at 20 mph.

Heavy rainfall of 1 to 2 inches per hour and winds in excess of 40
mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Lake Charles, Cameron, Grand Lake, Lacassine National Wildlife
Refuge, Lake Charles Regional Airport, Sabine National Wildlife,
Johnsons Bayou, Hacketts Corner, Heberts Marina and Hackberry.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to

At 1203 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
near Holly Beach, or 8 miles southeast of Sabine National Wildlife,
moving northeast at 35 mph.

Heavy rainfall with wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with
this storm. In addition, small hail might be possible as well.

Locations impacted include...
Cameron, Grand Lake, Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge, Johnsons
Bayou, Hacketts Corner, Heberts Marina, Hackberry, Holly Beach, Sweet
