.AVIATION...
The effects from Tropical Storm Beta continue to be felt across
southwest Louisiana and southeast Texas with cloudy skies and
increasing chances of showers and storms through the period. A
tightening pressure gradient will also support gusty east-
northeast winds increasing into the 15 to 25 knot range with gusts
as high as 35 knots at times. MVFR/IFR conditions expected with
BKN/OVC cloud decks around 1-2 kft with SHRA and VCTS chances
increasing through Tuesday afternoon.

DISCUSSION...
Tropical Storm Beta continues to be the main focus of the
forecast. Beta is currently crawling west-northwestward on the
northern Gulf of Mexico. Southwest Louisiana has been largely
spared the rain bands so far, but as it approaches the Texas
coast, it becomes increasingly likely that rain will be setting
up. Due to the concern for flooding potential, a Flash Flood Watch
has been issued for the coastal Parishes/Counties in SW Louisiana.

TS Beta had a good spurt of intensification earlier today as seen
on Satellite and HGX radar, but because of that it also started
ingesting some dry air. Convection has weakened considerably
since then. Guidance is still in agreement on a sharp turn
tomorrow night into Tuesday with landfall occurring around Monday
afternoon then taking it up into western Louisiana.

MARINE...
Tropical storm conditions are currently ongoing for much of the
coastal waters and is expected to continue through Monday. Winds
will then turn to onshore flow begin to slack to around 20 kts
before dropping to below 15 kt around Tuesday afternoon. Winds
should then become light for the rest of the work week.
