The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern DeKalb County in north central Georgia...

* Until 1000 PM EDT Monday.

* At 357 PM EDT, Flash flooding has been reported in parts of 
  Atlanta near Nancy Creek. thunderstorms producing heavy rain 
  across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have 
  fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Public.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Atlanta, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Chamblee, Doraville, North 
  Atlanta and Brookhaven.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Chattahoochee River and North Fork Peachtree Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
