This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of south central
Wyoming.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Isolated to widely scattered afternoon and early evening
thunderstorms will develop. Storms may produce strong, gusty
winds and dry lightning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

Decreasing thunderstorm potential day by day as the area dries out
under the influence of a ridge. Fire weather conditions will be
the concern.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of panhandle
Nebraska...western Nebraska...east central Wyoming...south
central Wyoming and southeast Wyoming.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Widely scattered thunderstorms will develop over the Laramie
Range around noon and move eastward into the High Plains by
mid-afternoon, reaching the western Nebraska Panhandle by late
afternoon. Severe storms capable of producing large hail and
strong gusty winds are possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms will develop
through Thursday, becoming more isolated and confined to the
mountains Friday and Saturday. Strong to severe thunderstorms
producing large hail and strong gusty winds will be possible
along and east of the Interstate 25 corridor Wednesday; an
isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon and Wednesday
afternoon along and east of the I-25 corridor.

At 928 PM MDT, trained weather spotters reported strong thunderstorms
along a line extending from near Curtis Gulch Campground to near
Bosler. Movement was east at 50 mph.

Penny size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Baldy Peak around 935 PM MDT.
  Laramie Peak around 945 PM MDT.
  Iron Mountain, Esterbrook and Esterbrook Campground around 950 PM
  MDT.
  Harris Park around 955 PM MDT.

This includes Interstate 25 in Wyoming between mile markers 68 and
104.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe

LARAMIE AND SOUTHEASTERN PLATTE COUNTIES UNTIL 1130 PM MDT...

At 1049 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles north of Lakeview North to near
Federal. Movement was east at 40 mph.

Penny size hail and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with
these storms. Strong wind gusts may occur well ahead of the
thunderstorms.

Locations impacted include...
Wheatland, Guernsey, La Grange, Fort Laramie, Chugwater, Yoder,
Chugcreek, Lakeview North, Bordeaux, Y-O Ranch, Hawk Springs, Hawk
Springs Campground, Fort Laramie National Historic Site, Hawk Springs
Recreation Area, Grayrocks Reservoir, Slater, Whitaker, Meriden Rest
Area, Veteran and Gun Barrel.

This includes Interstate 25 in Wyoming between mile markers 20 and
90.
