...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT OSWEGO COUNTY...

At 1009 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Oswego, moving
southeast at 65 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Oswego, Fulton, Pulaski, Central Square, Selkirk Shores State Park,
Mexico Point State Park, Nine Mile Point, Battle Island State Park,
Hastings, Scriba, Volney, Constantia, West Monroe, Palermo, New
Haven, Phoenix, Minetto, Mexico, Williamstown and Cleveland.

This includes Interstate 81 between exits 32 and 36.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is also occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
