and will persist overnight. Damaging winds up to 60 mph and a brief
tornado are the primary threats.

Periods of heavy rainfall are possible through tonight. Recent heavy
rainfall has produced saturated soil conditions, and any additional
rainfall could result in flash flooding.

Many area rivers are in or expected to rise above flood stage.

Strong to severe thunderstorms could linger into early Thursday
morning across southeast portions of Central Alabama. Damaging winds
up to 60 mph and a brief tornado are the primary threats.
