*At 2.3 feet, Minor flooding of low lying streets and yards north of
Fox Road on Lake County side of Astor, and from River Road northward
on Volusia side of river. Water begins to cover docks at South Moon
Fish Camp.

The Saint Johns River at Astor is at 2.24 feet, which is below Minor
Flood stage, thus the river flood warming has been cancelled. Still, the
river level is forecast to remain steady and in Action Stage for at least
the next week, and it could rise back into Minor Flood Stage if heavy
rainfall occurs at any point this week within the river basin.

.DISCUSSION...
Today...An inverted trough across the NW Bahamas will move westward
toward the southern FL peninsula into this afternoon. A tight
pressure gradient initially to the NW of the low level trough axis
will allow for breezy onshore winds this morning then gradually
decreasing into late afternoon and this evening. As the low level
trough moves westward it will begin to stall and sharpen as a mid
level trough moves eastward toward the peninsula from the eastern
Gulf. Short range guidance indicates deep moisture will continue
across the area today with PWATs from 1.9-2.2 inches. Low level
convergence band showers will move onshore through the late
afternoon with isolated lightning storms also possible with daytime
heating. Will increase POPs to categorical range 80 percent across
nrn sections and 70 percent across the central and srn zones.
Several rounds of onshore moving showers are expected but the quick
movement should keep daytime rainfall totals around an inch or less.
Prevalent cloud cover and onshore flow will limit high temps to the
mid 80s for much of the area. Along the coast, rough and dangerous
surf is expected with the risk of strong rip currents.
Tonight...The inverted trough will stall across the area tonight
with developing southerly flow across southern sections bringing
deeper PWAT air to the Treasure Coast and E/NE flow continuing along
the Volusia county coast where showers will continue to move onshore
from the Atlantic. Scattered showers and a slight chance for a
lightning storm will be possible all areas into the evening and then
focusing toward the coast overnight. Rain chances will remain above
normal in the 50-60 percent range with the possibility for some
locally heavy rainfall near the east coast. Lows will be in the 70s.
Tue-Wed...Inverted trough/weak boundary stalls across central
Florida into Tue-Wed with a moist airmass (PW ~1.9-2.0 inches) and
somewhat unsettled pattern aloft leading to high rain chances
through mid week. Likely PoPs, 60-70 percent, remain in the forecast
and there remains enough instability for at least isolated
thunderstorm development each day. Locally heavy rainfall will be
possible with any training shower bands or slow moving storms, but
after a very dry September any flooding concerns remain quite low.
Considerable cloud cover expected with highs ranging from the mid to
upper 80s on Tuesday, and mid 80s most areas on Wednesday. Lows
remain mild in the low to mid 70s.
Thu-Sun...Ridge extending down the eastern seaboard forces a weak
backdoor front through the area into late week. Scattered to
numerous light to moderate onshore moving showers expected with this
boundary into Thursday. However, as drier air filters in behind the
front, rain chances significantly decrease into Friday, with rain
chances then below mentionable levels into the weekend. Highs in the
mid to upper 80s forecast through the period, with lows falling to
the upper 60s to low 70s by the weekend.

.AVIATION...
Scattered to numerous SHRA will move onshore today with the highest
coverage north of a KISM-KMLB line. Have included VCSH and some
TEMPO windows for MVFR convection moving through into this aftn.
CHC for SHRA continues tonight have included mainly VCSH at this
time with MVFR CIGs/VSBYs psbl in moderate rain showers.

.MARINE...
Today...East winds up to 20-25 knots before sunrise will continue to
elevate seas across the local Atlantic waters to 6-8 ft near shore
and 8-10 ft offshore. Winds will decrease to 15 knots north and 10-
15 knots south by late afternoon by higher seas will linger into
this evening.
Tonight...East winds to 10-15 knots nrn waters and SE to 10 knots
across the south will diminish further overnight. Seas will be
slower to subside and will have SCEC near shore after 10 pm and SCA
continuing for the offshore waters with seas around 7 ft.
Tue-Wed...Weak boundary will remain across the waters through mid
week, with NE winds up to 5-10 knots over the Volusia County waters
and around 10 knots out of the S/SW south of Sebastian Inlet. Across
the Brevard County waters closer to the boundary, winds will be
weaker and more variable into Tuesday. As this boundary shifts
southward into Wednesday, NE winds increasing up to 10-15 knots will
build southward over the waters into late afternoon. Lingering seas
up to 7 feet offshore will gradually decrease to 4-6 feet Tuesday
afternoon, briefly to 3-5 feet into late Tuesday night, and then
building back to 6 feet offshore Wednesday into Wednesday night.
Thu-Fri...Poor to hazardous boating conditions expected into late
week as E/NE winds increase up to 15-20 knots offshore, with seas up
to 6-7 feet.

Numerous showers and isolated lightning storms are expected across east central Florida today as deep moisture and approaching inverted low level pressure trough help to focus onshore moving convection. Locally heavy downpours, gusty winds to 40 mph and occasional cloud to ground lightning strikes will be possible with any storms the develop. .COASTAL FLOOD IMPACT... Rough surf at east central Florida beaches will allow for minor beach erosion near the time of high tide in the late afternoon. .RIP CURRENT IMPACT... Rough surf and a moderate risk for rip currents are expected at east central Florida beaches into this evening. The rough breaking surf can know you down, making you susceptible to getting caught in a dangerous rip current. Ask a lifeguard about ocean hazards when you arrive at the beach and only swim within sight of a lifeguard. .MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT... A few heavier showers and isolated storms will be capable of producing gusty winds to 35 knots across the Atlantic waters and coastal areas today and tonight. .WIND AND SEA IMPACT... Strong onshore winds into the afternoon will continue to elevate seas across the Atlantic making conditions hazardous for small craft operators. Winds will decrease later tonight though poor marine conditions will continue near shore. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.
