East central Sumter County in central South Carolina...
* Until 345 PM EDT.
* At 255 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Woods Bay State Park, or 13 miles west of Lake
City, moving north at 60 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
eastern Lee, northeastern Clarendon and east central Sumter
Counties, including the following locations... Turbeville, Shiloh
