This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the counties served by the
National Weather Service office in Birmingham.

.DAY ONE...Outlook through Tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms will redevelop over Central Alabama. There
will be a chance of damaging winds mainly west of Interstate 65.
Additionally, localized heavy rainfall is possible which may lead to
some minor flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

Activation of storm spotters and emergency management may become
necessary in western areas through this evening.

NORTHWESTERN HALE AND CENTRAL SUMTER COUNTIES UNTIL 600 PM CDT...

At 510 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Panola to near Gainesville to Bluffport.
Movement was east at 40 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Eutaw, Moundville, Forkland, Akron, Boligee, Union, Epes, Walden
Quarters, West Greene, Thornhill, Benevola, Wedgeworth, Tishabee, New
West Greene, Mantua, Allison, Jena, Bluffport, Sawyerville and
Knoxville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
