There is a chance of thunderstorms today into tonight. There is a marginal to slight risk that some of these thunderstorms could become severe with isolated damaging wind gusts possible for areas near and especially south of the Interstate 90 corridor this afternoon into this evening. In addition, storms will be capable of producing heavy rain which could cause some flooding of poor drainage and low lying areas. Isolated flash flooding is possible, especially for areas south of Interstate 90. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Hot and humid conditions will develop for Friday, Saturday and Sunday with heat indices potentially exceeding 100 degrees during the afternoon hours. Heat Advisories and or Excessive Heat Warnings may need to be issued. There is a chance of thunderstorms late Friday afternoon through Saturday night across the southern Adirondacks and western Mohawk Valley, and across most areas Sunday afternoon and evening. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon and evening.

NORTHEASTERN COLUMBIA AND SOUTHERN RENSSELAER COUNTIES...
At 151 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Nassau, moving
east at 30 mph.
Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail are possible with this
storm.
Locations impacted include...
Pittsfield, East Greenbush, Nassau, Williamstown, Cheshire,
Stephentown, New Lebanon, Castleton-On-Hudson, Hancock, New Ashford,
West Sand Lake, Averill Park, Berkshire, Sand Lake, Dalton,
Lanesborough, East Nassau, Brookview, Van Hoesen Station and West
Stephentown.
This includes Interstate 90 between exits 10 and 9.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio

Hoosick Falls to near Grafton. Movement was east at 30 mph.
