...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN ORANGE COUNTY...

At 229 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Newburgh,
moving northeast at 25 mph.

Hail up to a half inch is possible with this storm.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern Orange
County.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT HUDSON...SOUTHEASTERN ESSEX...
QUEENS...RICHMOND...BRONX...KINGS...NEW YORK (MANHATTAN) AND NASSAU
COUNTIES...

At 326 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Jersey City,
moving east at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Newark, Jersey City, Jamaica, Flatbush, Flushing, Bayonne, Mott
Haven, Levittown, Hoboken, East Tremont, Freeport, Valley Stream,
Glen Cove, Plainview and Coney Island.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
