  Southeastern McMinn County in east Tennessee...
  Southwestern Monroe County in east Tennessee...

* Until 545 AM EST.
    
* At 457 AM EST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Etowah, or 8 miles south of Athens, moving east at
  40 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Etowah around 505 AM EST.

SOUTHWESTERN MONROE COUNTY...
    
At 511 AM EST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 7 miles east of Etowah, or 11 miles south of
Madisonville, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southwestern Monroe County, including the following locations...
Mount Vernon, Bullet Creek and Tellico Plains.
